It is important for you to know that the personal data you share with us is processed responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Council. You have the right to request information about the personal data we hold, as well as its correction or deletion if it was provided based on your consent. In cases of automated processing, you have the right to data portability and not to be subject to decisions based solely on such processing. Security of Your Personal Data
AVE a.s. takes the security of the personal data you provide seriously. We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to adequately protect your data, considering the nature of its processing. No unauthorized person has access to the personal data we have collected from you, and we do not share it with other entities for further processing without your consent, unless required by law or for the protection of our legitimate legal interests.
Right to Information
You have the right to request information from AVE a.s. about what personal data we process about you, to what extent, and for what purpose. We will provide this information to you free of charge within 30 days, or in exceptional cases within 90 days. In extraordinary circumstances, we will inform you in a timely manner if the deadline needs to be extended.
When requesting information about the data we hold, we will first need to verify that you are indeed the person to whom the information pertains. Please provide sufficient identification in your request. If necessary, we have the right to request additional information to verify your identity before providing the personal data we process about you.
We also reserve the right to reasonably refuse requests for information that are unjustified, excessively repetitive, require disproportionate effort, or would be difficult to obtain (for example, from backup systems, archives, etc.).
Right to Data Portability
You have the right to receive the personal data we hold about you in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. Upon your request, this data can be transferred to another controller.
Updating Data, Right to Correction
As personal data may change over time (for example, a change of surname), we appreciate being informed of any updates so that your personal data remains accurate and errors are avoided. Providing information about changes is essential for us to properly carry out our duties as the Data Controller.
This also relates to your right to correct the personal data we hold about you. If you find that our records are no longer up to date, you have the right to request their correction.
Objections
If you believe that your personal data is not being processed in accordance with applicable Czech and EU legislation, you have the right to raise an objection, and we will subsequently review the validity of your request. Upon submitting an objection, the processing of your personal data will be restricted until it is verified whether the objection is justified.

Right to Restrict Processing
You have the right to request the restriction of processing your personal data if you believe that the data we hold is inaccurate, if we are processing it unlawfully, or if you believe that we no longer need the data for the purposes of its processing.
Right to Erasure
If you have ever given us consent to process your personal data (for example, your email address for receiving a newsletter), you have the right to withdraw it at any time, and we are obliged to delete the data we process solely on the basis of your consent. The right to erasure does not apply to data processed for the performance of a contract, legal obligations, or legitimate interests.
If some of your data is stored in backup systems that automatically ensure the resilience of our systems and serve to protect against data loss in case of failures, it may not be possible for us to delete these data from the backups, and often it is not technically feasible. However, such data are no longer actively processed and will not be used for any further processing purposes.
